how it works

Here's a simplified overview of how it works:

  • Your GPT Requests An Email: As soon as a user initiates a conversation, your GPT requests an email address for verification
  • Your User Provides An Email: The user types their email address
  • API Call for Verification: Our backend management system picks up the email address and makes a secure API call to the subscription service (eg Stripe), sending the email for verification
  • ​Response Received: The subscription service checks its records for an active subscription linked to the user email and sends back a response indicating whether there's an active subscription or not
  • ​Access Granted or Denied: Based on the response, if the user has an active subscription, they get access to your GPT. If not, they'll be guided to a link to sign up for a subscription, membership or to become a client.

Q: What is GPT Lock?
A: GPT Lock is a service that allows you to protect your proprietary custom GPTs (built on the ChatGPT platform) and restricts access to these GPTs only to your active subscribers.
Q: How does GPT Lock protect my custom GPTs?
A: Our system requires users to provide their email address before accessing your GPTs. GPT Lock then automatically checks with your Stripe account to verify if the user has an active subscription. Access is granted only upon successful verification.
Q: Do I have to give you access to my Stripe account?
A: Not at all. All you need to provide us with is the subscription ID. Our management system uses a secure API to send an encrypted query to Stripe. We also do not store any data, so the process is absolutely secure.
Q: What if I take payment via Paypal or another merchant?
A: GPT Lock is currently only compatible with Stripe for all payment processing and subscription verification.
Q: Do I need to have technical skills to set up the protection of my custom GPTs with GPT Lock?
A: No, technical skills are not necessary. You have the option to do the set up yourself, or our team can handle the setup process for you. We do it live over a Zoom call and currently during the pre-launch it's absolutely FREE.
Q: What do I need to start protecting my custom GPTs with GPT Lock?
A: First you will need to build your custom GPTs (or hire us to build them for you). Tnen, you need to setup your sales pages and subscriptions within Stripe (we have no access to your subscriptions and do not handle your subscribers payments). Finally, you choose one of our payment plans depending on how many GPTs you want to protect and we will assist you with the setup and integration, or you do the setup yourself following our simple video instructions.
Q: Does GPT Lock manage my sales, subscriptions or memberships?
A: No, GPT Lock does not manage your sales, subscriptions or memberships for your GPTs. You handle your own sales and subscriber management. Our service only protects your GPTs from unauthorised use. We just use our back end management system to give or refuse access based on whether or not the person trying to use your GPTs has an active subscription in your Stripe account. 
Q: What if my subscriber's payment fails or they cancel?
A: GPT Lock will not grant access if a subscription is inactive, canceled, or if a payment has failed. The user must resolve their subscription status with you to regain access.
Q: Is there a limit to how many GPTs I can protect with GPT Lock?
A: There is no limit. GPT Lock can handle subscription verification for unlimited number of GPTs. The number of GPTs you can protect will depend on your subscription. Please refer to our subscription structure.
Q: Do you offer money back guarantee?
